Vice President Naidu two-day visit to the United States

New Delhi, Sep 7 Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday left on a two-day visit to the United States.

During the visit, Naidu is slated to convey an address at the second World Hindu Congress (WHC) in Chicago on September 9. He will also associate with the Indian people group living in the nation.

The WHC, which is scheduled to be held from September 7 to 9, is a "global platform for Hindus to connect, share ideas, inspire one another, and impact the common good. It will offer Hindus a chance to introspect towards change and take advantage of their aggregate assets to look for substantial answers for the most problems that need to be addressed of this age," according to its site.

Held once every four years, WHC's seven parallel conferences will showcase how the qualities, imagination, and entrepreneurial soul of the worldwide Hindu community find expression in a variety of spheres, including financial, education, media, organisational, and political, and additionally the one of a kind administration and commitments of Hindu ladies and youth, said the site.

The global event also marks the commemoration of 125 years of Swami Vivekananda's address at the World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago.
