Will Aadhaar be made mandatory? Supreme Court to give decision on Wednesday

New Delhi, Sep 25 The Supreme Court will on Wednesday articulate its judgement on a clutch of petitions which challenged the validity of Aadhaar. After a marathon becoming aware of 38 days in four months, the five-judge Constitution seat headed by Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra had in May saved its judgement in the case.

The apex court will choose whether Aadhaar meets the protected arrangements and whether the government can keep looking for it as a compulsory identification.

During the arguments which went on for more than four months, the Centre had emphatically guarded its choice to interface Aadhaar numbers with cell phones, telling the best court that it could have been pulled up for hatred if the check of portable clients was not attempted by it.
