Rafale deal: Congress asks CVC seize documents, register FIR

New Delhi, Sep 24 Terming the controversial Rafale fighter jets deal as India's "biggest Defence scam", the Congress on Monday requested the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) K.V. Chowdary to grab all reports and register a FIR into the alleged corruption.

After meeting the CVC and looking for a free test into the case, Congress leader Anand Sharma told correspondents, "A designation of Congress has met with Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), presented an itemized notice on Rafale contender stream buy scam. It is the greatest trick in the securing history of this nation. This was the subjective choice of the Prime Minister of India who with no command from the Cabinet Committee on Security chose to get rid of three critical things of the first delicate buy of 126 planes and all the more essentially the endorsed cost of Rs 526 crore that went up to Rs 1,670 crore. The administration has been lying and covering up. Consequently, we have requested the CVC to take insight, to grab all records and reports and register a FIR."

Meanwhile, another Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala stated, "Looked with corruption exposed in Rafale scam, a panicked, baffled and stressed Prime Minister Narendra Modi government is looking for sanctuary of Pakistan to redirect consideration of the country. Was your adoration for Pakistan not clear when you were enjoying saree-shawl tact' while Pakistan was killing our soldiers."

The delegation comprised senior Congress pioneers Ahmed Patel, Anand Sharma, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Manish Tewari among others.

The meeting came days after a Congress appointment met the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Rajiv Mehrishi and asked the summit examiner to set up a write about the charged anomalies in the arrangement and present it in Parliament.

The Rafale controversy took another bend a week ago after previous French president Francois Hollande asserted that the Indian government proposed Reliance Defence's name as the counterbalance accomplice for Dassault Aviation.

The Congress has been blaming the Centre for inc Prime Minister Narendra Modonsistencies in the prominent Defence contender planes contract, asserting that thei-drove government was obtaining every air ship at an expense of over Rs 1,670 crore as against Rs 526 crore settled by the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government. The Congress has on numerous occasions asked the Prime Minister Modi-drove government to uncover the value points of interest of the airplane and how the rate of every air ship has shot up. Be that as it may, the government has refused to share the points of interest, citing a secrecy clause of a 2008 pact between India and France
