Rahul Gandhi: A single thought can't run a nation

New Delhi, Sep 22 In a veiled assault at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said that a nation with over a billion populace can't in any way, shape or form be controlled by a single idea.

Addressing a gathering of academicians here, Gandhi stated, "In India, the worker, the farmer, the little and medium businesses, everyone is saying that a nation of over a billion people can't in any way, shape or form be kept running on one single thought. To me, the way that we enable our kin to talk, to enable them to have a discussion is the biggest strength of our country."

The Congress president further stated, "I feel academicians are under assault, I understand that they feel being under pressure, you feel that an ideology is being imposed upon. You feel that one syllabus has now all of a sudden end up adequate to each and every foundation of India. You are not the only one in this feeling."

Gandhi also opined that the Indian teaching system must be permitted to have its own voice and express its own opinion. "We discuss the possibility of a Guru. A Guru is somebody who guides you, a Guru is somebody who gives you course and he is somebody who must have the capacity to convey what needs be. I trust that the fate of our nation is guided by our educators and on the off chance that we don't enable them to convey what needs be in the classroom, we can't have an education system," he included.

Insisting on greater stability for a strong training framework, he stated, "On the off chance that we need an instruction framework that works, there should be a feeling of amicability in that system. An instructor must have a feeling that he has a future, the feeling that he yielding something for the country and the country is giving him something consequently - stability."

The Congress chief also commented that the expense of our education system is spiraling and is coming to a point where it is unacceptable.

Pointing out measures for the betterment of education system, Gandhi stated, "The establishment of our framework was government funded instruction framework.
