PM Narendra Modi to go to work initiation of Rajasthan oil refinery

New Delhi, Jan 15 Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to a capacity to check the initiation of work for the oil refinery at Pachpadra in Rajasthan's Barmer district tomorrow.

The foundation stone of the oil refinery was laid by the then Congress president Sonia Gandhi four years ago.

The Prime Minister will also be addressing to an open gathering in Rajasthan.

Rajasthan has huge stores of oil and gas and the refinery will be the state's first. It is conceived as a 9 MMTPA Refinery cum Petrochemical Complex.

The item yield from the refinery will fit in with the propelled BS-VI emission norms.

The assessed cost of the undertaking, which is a Joint Venture of HPCL and Government of Rajasthan, is over Rs 43,000 crore.

Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh and state Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and a few Union Ministers are relied upon to go to the occasion.
