Supreme Court looks for Judge Loya's postmortem report, says 'matter very serious'

New Delhi, Jan 12 The Supreme Court on Friday requested that the Maharashtra government present the after death report recently Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) judge B.H. Loya, attesting the "matter very serious".

The zenith court said that it has posted the following hearing on the issue for January 15.

Prior on Thursday, a bench comprising, Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justices A.M. Khanwilkar and D.Y. Chandrachud, "looked for a pressing hearing on the request" for a test into Justice Loya's demise on December 1, 2014.

As per reports, Maharashtra-based writer B.R. Lone had filed an independent plea seeking for a reasonable test into the puzzling demise of Justice Loya, who was hearing the Sohrabuddin encounter case - in which various police officers and the Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah were named as parties.
