New Delhi, Mar 21 The former Secretary of Foreign Affairs Nirupama Rao on Tuesday called the killing of 39 Indians by ISIS in Iraq as 'very sad'.
The former negotiator stated, "I think it is extremely tragic that these 39 Indians were killed cold-bloodedly in Iraq. It required a considerable measure of investment to go to a conclusion as the Indians had been missing in Iraq since 4 years."
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, while replying to a question in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, revealed that tragic news to the country.
The 39 people, most of whom hailed from Punjab, were working on projects near strife-ridden Mosul when they were kidnapped amid their evacuation in 2014.
