New Delhi, Mar 23 Congress president Rahul Gandhi today said the BJP's "lying factory" was at work again, stymieing a media story on Cambridge Analytica allegedly being paid to disrupt the Congress by turning "counterfeit news" of the gathering working with the information firm.
Picking up from where he cleared out off yesterday, Gandhi today again blamed the BJP for influencing the genuine news "to vanish" by blaming the Congress for working with the dubious firm accused of taking information from Facebook.
BJP lying plant at work: Journalist set to break issue on everyone's mind on how Cambridge Analytica (CA) was paid to penetrate and disrupt the Congress in 2012. BJP surges Cabinet Minister to lie and turn counterfeit news: Congress worked with CA! Genuine story vanishes, Gandhi said on Twitter.
He also tagged a media report featured, " 'Informant' Reveals Cambridge Analytica's India Link".
The Congress and the BJP are engaged in a slinging match with each blaming the other for using the services of the controversial data analytics firm previous elections.
Recently, Gandhi alleged that the legislature was managing headlines to deflect attention from issues, for example, the death of 39 Indians in captivity in Iraq and said the administration was baiting the media.
"Issue: 39 Indians dead; Government on the mat, caught lying. Solution: Invent story on Congress and Data Theft. Result: Media systems nibble goad; 39 Indians vanish from radar. Problem solved," Gandhi had tweeted.
