Wholesale inflation eases to 2.48% in February

New Delhi, Mar 14 Inflation based on wholesale prices eased to a seven-month low of 2.48 percent in February on less expensive nourishment articles, including vegetables. Discount value expansion facilitated for the third straight month in February.

Based on Wholesale Price Index (WPI), expansion was 2.84 percent in January and 5.51 percent in February 2017.

The past low level was recorded in July at 1.88 percent.

As indicated by an administration information discharged today, expansion in nourishment articles eased back to 0.88 percent in February from 3 percent in the former month.

Swelling in vegetables relaxed with yearly expansion at 15.26 percent as against 40.77 percent in January.
