Rahul Gandhi condoles passings of Indians in Iraq

New Delhi, Mar 20 Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday communicated his most profound sympathy to the families of 39 Indians, killed in Iraq.

Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and stated, "I'm stunned to hear that 39 Indians who were in imprisonment since 2014, in Iraq, are now confirmed dead. My most profound sympathies to the groups of the individuals who have lived in trust, that their friends and family will return unharmed. Mythoughts and prayers are with every one of you today."

Outside Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj prior today educated that all the 39 Indians, who went missing in Mosul in the year 2014, were killed.

Talking at Rajya Sabha, Swaraj said that the dreaded terror outfit Islamic State (IS) had slaughtered all the Indian nationals.

The 39 people, most of whom hailed from Punjab, were chipping away at ventures close Mosul when they were abducted amid their evacuation.
