New Delhi, Apr 5 Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hailed Dalit icon B R Ambedkar's commitment in understanding the value of a vibrant maritime sector saying his efforts augured well for the people of India.
The PM said the oceanic part in India, with its rich history, can possibly influence our country's change.
In a progression of tweets on the National Maritime Day, Modi said his legislature affirms its responsibility regarding tackle the sea qualities for the country's prosperity.
"Our efforts for a vibrant maritime sector are motivated by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. It was Babasaheb who gave highest significance to Jal Shakti, waterways, irrigation, canal networks and ports. His work in this sector augured extremely well for the people of India," he said.
