Dharmendra Pradhan: Hike in fuel costs is temporary

Surat, Sep 2 Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday guaranteed that ascent in the fuel costs in the nation is temporary.

He was addressing the media in the wake of going to the inauguration of the Textiles and Plastics Investors Conclave-2018 here. Responding to the charges leveled by the Congress party, Pradhan guaranteed that the Congress was making false claims.

"The Congress party government has left a colossal obligation on us. The Congress is lying. Today, there is a flood in the cost of raw petroleum in the global market. In the worldwide market, different monetary forms of the world have debilitated in contrast with the dollar, which additionally affects the Indian cash. Henceforth, this is impermanent," he noted.

Pradhan further said that it was necessary to acquire worldwide elements line to control the flood in costs. "Both the universal variables are not in our grasp. OPEC had said to build the generation of oil by one million barrel for every day except it has been two months (July and August) however they have not done this up until this point. The circumstance in Iran has likewise made circumstance strained and they are additionally a factor for the climb in fuel costs," he said.

Fuel costs kept on ascending on Sunday, with oil and diesel costs contacting another record high in a few metropolitan urban communities, including Delhi and Mumbai.

Prior also Pradhan had said the rise in crude oil price in the international market and devaluation of the Indian rupee against the US Dollar were in charge of the hike in fuel costs in the nation.
