President Ram Nath Kovind sets out on 3-country tour

New Delhi, Sep 2 President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday set out on a three-country visit to Europe, crossing more than eight days.

As per the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the President is being joined by Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Parshottam Khodabhai Rupala and two Members of Parliament Ram Shakal and Anil Baluni, alongside a few authorities.

On the first leg of his trip, President Kovind will visit Cyprus, where he will hold a gathering with his partner Nicos Anastasiades keeping in order to boost bilateral ties.

Besides, President Kovind will meet President of the House of Representatives Demetris Syllouris. He will address an Extraordinary Session of the House of Representatives. He will likewise convey an address at the University of Cyprus and address individuals from the Indian Diaspora there.

Cyprus is the eighth biggest speculator in India with an aggregate venture of over USD 9.2 billion. There have been normal abnormal state trades between the two nations in the recent years, and President Kovind's visit is relied upon to further strengthen the economic ties.

From Cyprus, President Kovind will continue to Bulgaria on September 4, where he is planned to meet Bulgarian President Radev and Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

He will also address a business discussion in Bulgaria and convey an address at the Sofia University. At exhibit, India-Bulgaria yearly exchange remains at USD 315 million.

On the last leg of the adventure, President Kovind will visit the Czech Republic from September 6 to 9, where he will have exchange on issues of common worry with Czech President Milos Zeman.

President Kovind will also address business delegates from the two nations and interact with students at the Charles University.
