New Delhi, Mar 3 BJP president Amit Shah said the BJP has proved itself everywhere throughout the nation and shed its tag as a 'Hindi belt party'. Addressing to a press meet after the BJP's solid appearing in elections in the three states in the Northeast, Shah said there is much more to come.
"PM Modi when he took promise had pledged to implement the Act East strategy. I trust this is the triumph of the policy steps he has gone up against this front… Money used to assigned toward the Northeastern expresses each year. In any case, it took the authority of PM Modi to guarantee that cash was spent on improvement," Shah told journalists at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.
He said the BJP has successfully shaken off the tag of being a 'Hindi belt' party. He indicated its exhibitions in states like Maharashtra, Odisha, Assam among others as verification of this. "We have a MP in Ladakh, shaped the administration in Kohima, we have an official in Kerala, and we are the overseeing party in Kachchh. A genuinely national face of the BJP has risen today," he declared.
With the triumph in Tripura and on course to form the government in Nagaland, BJP and its partners are in control in 20 of India's 29 states. Be that as it may, he declined to proclaim it the BJP's golden age. "You think this is a golden age? There is considerably more to come. I will concur that we have achieved a golden age just when we ascend to power in Kerala, Bengal and Odisha. What's more, we will also have to pull in the triumph in Karnataka," he said.
