Asaduddin Owaisi seconds Telangana Chief Minister call for third front

Hyderabad, Mar 4 A day after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao called for third front ahead of 2019 general elections, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi welcomed his announcement.

Owaisi further supported the chief minister saying that the people of the nation are tired of both Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

"I invite Telangana CM's announcement and he appropriately expressed that people of the nation are tired of BJP governance and Congress isn't a reasonable choice, neither it can become one," he told

The AIMIM chief also applauded the Chief Minister for his governance in Telangana.

"Rao has given exemplary governance to Telangana in the last 4 years," added Owaisi.

Rao on Saturday expressed his interest to take an interest in the national governmental issues.

"I am keen to participate in national legislative issues to change the political texture of the nation as the current political system has 'miserably failed'," Rao said.

The Chief Minister said he was in consultation with other leaders on the possibility of forming a common platform with likeminded political parties.

"There is a serious need for qualitative change in the national politics. People are vexed at this point. No qualitative change is seen by the people even following 70 years of activity of majority rule government. It is extremely appalling. People are looking for a change. Would we be able to anticipate that something new will happen if Congress comes to power after BJP," the Chief Minister said.

He said that the new platform could be a third front or some other front and he wouldn't fret being a part of the change.

"It can be a third front or any front. Talks are going on the same. I am trying to 'bring change' in politics and I wouldn't fret to be a piece of the change," he said.
