Lok Sabha suspends in the midst of challenges over PNB scam, different issues

New Delhi, Mar 5 The Lok Sabha today was adjourned till twelve after vociferous dissents by Opposition members over the Punjab National Bank misrepresentation and different issues while those from NDA partner TDP kept on raising their interest for a special package to Andhra Pradesh.

Soon after Speaker Sumitra Mahajan made obituary references, members from the Congress, TRS and other parties as well as from the TDP trooped into the Well raising different issues.

This was the primary day the House met after the opening of the Budget session.

Prior to the beginning of procedures, BJP individuals were seen applauding when Prime Minister Narendra Modi strolled into the House. With collapsed hands, Modi welcomed the individuals and in addition those in the Opposition seats.

As the BJP and its allies captured power in the three North Eastern states, a large number of the saffron party MPs were seen wearing Assamese 'gamosa'.

Holding notices, Congress members trooped into the Well raising the issue of Punjab National Bank trick. Trinamool Congress individuals too were trying to raise a similar issue.

The Congress demanded a reply from the Prime Minister on the whereabouts of Nirav Modi, one of the claimed bosses of the Rs 12,700 crore fraud at Punjab National Bank.

TDP members stood in the Well demanding special package for Andhra Pradesh while those from the TRS looked for increment in reservation standard in Telangana.

As the challenges proceeded with, Mahajan adjourned the proceedings till noon.

Eulogy references were made for four former members - Rudolph Rodrigues, Kamla Prasad Singh, Khagen Das and Kumari Farida Topno.
