Prime Minister Modi: BJP win in Tripura an ideological triumph

New Delhi, Mar 6 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday named the BJP's win upon the Left in Tripura a "triumph of ideology" and said the party needs to work to keep up its triumphant electoral streak, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar told journalists

Modi was addressing to the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting, where he was welcomed with the trademark, 'Jeet hamari jari hai, abdominal muscle Karnataka ki bari hai' (Our triumphant run proceeds with, now is the turn of Karnataka)

The prime minister spoke about the BJP's impressive performance in the three upper east conditions of Tripura, Nagaland and Meghayala

According by party leaders at the meeting, Modi alluded to remarks from a few pundits that Tripura was a little state with just two Lok Sabha situates and underlined the essentialness of the BJP's win. He said the state had for some time been longing for change and individuals grasped it by removing the Left which was in power for more than 25 years

The BJP won just a single assembly seat in Kerala before it went ahead to trounce the Left in its bastion of Tripura, the prime minister said

"Tripura was viewed as a bastion of Marxism throughout the previous 25 years. This is an ideological triumph," party leaders cited Modi as saying

The Left's politics issues was supported by violence and hate, he said, including that people have rejected it all over the place
