Sensex rises by more than 100pts, Nifty over 11,700

Mumbai, Sep 3 The market files on Monday opened on a positive note, attributable to increases recorded in the IT, pharmaceutical and automobiles sectors.

The BSE's Sensex ascended by 103.61 points to 38,748.68, while Nifty exchanged hardly over 11,700 at 11,709.65.

Offers of Wipro ascended by more than six percent, multi day after it packed away a ten-year commitment to give a far reaching suite of arrangements and administrations to Lincolnshire, Illinois-based Alight Solutions LLC, an innovation empowered wellbeing, riches, HR and fund arrangements supplier.

Among other best gainers are Bajaj Auto and Lupin, while ICICI Bank, Maruti Suzuki and Bajaj Finance brought about critical misfortunes.

The Indian rupee picked up in early exchange, as it opened 19 paise higher at 70.80 for every dollar.
