Rupee expands losses against US dollar in late morning exchange

Mumbai, Jan 11 The rupee slid advance by 22 paise to hit a low of 63.82 against the greenback in late morning bargains on proceeded with episodes of dollar request from shippers and banks in the midst of level values.

The rupee opened lower at 63.65 for each dollar from Wednesday's end level of 63.60 at the between bank outside trade showcase on Thursday.

The Indian unit saw instability and fell further to 63.82 on overwhelming dollar request.

The local unit was exchanging at 63.75, around 15 paise, against the dollar at 1050 hrs.

The US dollar was generally steady against its real opponents in early Asian exchange subsequent to affliction its greatest one-day drop in about eight months following a report that China was prepared to moderate or stop its buys of US Treasuries.

The 30-share BSE Sensex is exchanging level, around a peripheral 15.93 points, or 0.05 percent, at 34,417.14 at 1040 hrs.
