French President to visit India next week

New Delhi, Mar 3 French President Emmanuel Macron will set out on a four-day visit to India from March 9 to 12 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as per the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

He will be joined by his wife, Brigitte Marie-Claude Macron, and an assignment of specialists and service authorities.

"The visit of President Macron is aimed at strengthening the bilateral economic, political and strategic dimension of our engagement", the MEA said in an announcement.

"The strategic partnership between India and France, set up in 1998, is one of the most important and comprehensive bilateral engagements and is marked by exceptional and visit abnormal state trades and profound political comprehension", it included.

The two sides will proceed to upgrade and coordinate in the defence, maritime, space, security, and vitality related sectors. It will also cooperate on issues of concerns, for example, fear based oppression, environmental change, reasonable development and improvement, foundation, shrewd urbanization, science and innovation collaboration and youth trades.

Prime Minister Modi and the French President will co-seat the establishing gathering of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), which will occur on March 11.

The ISA, alliance of more than 121 countries, was started by Prime Minister Modi in January 2016. The essential target of the union is to work for proficient abuse of sun oriented vitality to decrease reliance on fossil fuels.
