New Delhi, Mar 3 The Delhi Metro today shut the JLN Stadium station for open in the wake of a big protest by students at the nearby CGO Complex, authorities said today.
The station falls on the Delhi Metro network's busy Violet Line that connects Kashmere Gate to Escorts Mujesar.
It was shut around 9am on the inform regarding Delhi Police, a senior Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) official said.
"The station will stay shut till further directions," he said.
Police said the station was shut for public to keep any disturbance after a large number of students close to the station building.
Students from across India have gathered outside the CGO Complex, where the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is headquartered, requesting a CBI investigation into the Combined Graduate Level-Test following assertions of abnormalities.
"Irregularities in the test were apparent as the appropriate response key of Maths paper showed up via web-based networking media notwithstanding amid the test on February 21," said Rohit Kumar, a candidate from Bihar.
The students, holding exhibit outside the complex for as long as five days, met with the SSC executive however no arrangement could be found to end the challenge.
Police said the situation was being observed and the dissent has so far been serene.
