Patna, July 8 Putting a conclusion to all speculations, the Janata Dal United has decided that itwill not part ways with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and will remain a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The choice was taken at the national official gathering of gathering, led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in New Delhi on Sunday.
Several issues, for example, 2019 Lok Sabha elections and 2020 Bihar Assembly elections were talked about amid the JDU national official, said reports. A report in Prabhat Khabar said that in front of the national official, Nitish Kumar hosted led a gathering of senior party leaders on Saturday evening.
The report further said that the JDU has decided to contest on 17 seats during the 2019 Lok Sabha decisions, with whatever is left of the seats going to NDA constituents including the BJP.
This comes amid repeated assaults on Nitish Kumar by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) pioneer and previous Bihar vice president serve Tejashwi Yadav over reports of contrasts between the JDU and the BJP.
On several occasions, the Yadav scion has said that the doors of Mahagathbandhan, comprising the RJD and the Congress, are closed for Nitish. Blaming the Chief Minister for discarding the Mahagathbandhan and individuals of Bihar by holding hands with the BJP, Tejashwi has said that Nitish Kumar "can't be trusted".
Notably, Nitish's JDU had battled the past Assembly races in Bihar in cooperation with the RJD and the Congress as a major aspect of the Mahagathbandhan. However, the alliance couldn't stay flawless for long as the JDU chose to split away and join the BJP-drove NDA.
Speculations were also rife in the recent past of the JDU ending ties with the BJP as the main pastor and his gathering more than once repeated the request of uncommon status for Bihar. Amid the as of late held Niti Aayog meeting in the national capital, Nitish had also backed Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's interest for uncommon class status for his state, over which the last had even left the NDA. Naidu had blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi of cheating the people of Andhra Pradesh.
