New Delhi, Aug 24 Around 128 schools in the national capital have moved back their "subjective" charge climbs following protestations from guardians, a government official said.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had issued directions to the schools to move back their "discretionary" expense climb subsequent to accepting a few grievances from guardians.
The Directorate of Education (DoE) had in April sent notification to 195 tuition based schools of the city and requested that the school heads move back their charge climb.
A month ago, Kejriwal had asked that DoE submit a compliance report on whether private schools had rolled back their fee hike as ordered by the government.
"Out of 195 private schools, 128 have informed us that they are moving back their climbed charges. Remaining 67 non-public schools will before long be served indicate cause sees for not consenting to the requests," a DoE official said.
Education Minister Manish Sisodia would meet the delegates of all the 128 schools who had complied to the government's directive, the authority said.
