PM Modi: IIT-Bombay to get Rs 1,000 cr financial aid

Mumbai, Aug 11 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced a financial aid of Rs 1,000 crore to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay .

Speaking at the convocation ceremony of IIT Bombay, the Prime Minister stated, "The certainty I can see all over affirms that we are moving the correct way . IIT Bombay will get a money related guide of Rs 1000 crore . It was a substantial number of IIT understudies, who built the IT sector of India, brick by brick ."

The Prime Minister stated that innovations and enterprise will be the establishment stone for making India a developed economy and further voiced his expectation that a long term sustainable technology-led economic growth is possible on this foundation.

Describing IITs as 'India's Instrument for Transformation', the Prime Minister stated, "Development is the trendy expression of the 21st century . Any general public, which does not advance, will stagnate . India is rising as a centre point for new companies which demonstrates the hunger for development . We should make India the most attractive destination for innovation and enterprise ."

Prime Minister Modi also appealed youth to advance in India for the improvement or improvement of the society.

"My appeal to youngsters is - Innovate in India, Innovate for mankind, from alleviating environmental change to guaranteeing better horticultural profitability, from cleaner vitality to water protection, from fighting lack of healthy sustenance to successful waste management," he said .

He also boosted the morale of the students present in the ceremony and stated, "The country is pleased with the IITs and what IIT graduates have accomplished . The achievement of IITs prompted the making of building schools around the nation . They were roused by the IITs and this prompted India getting to be one of the world's biggest pools of technical manpower ."

The Prime Minister further said that the students in the IIT represent the diversity of India . "You have gotten what can be known as the best that our instruction framework brings to the table . Concluding his speech, the Prime Minister stated, "Let us avow that the best thoughts will originate from Indian research facilities and from Indian understudies . Prime Minister Modi also introduced the new building of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering and Center for Environmental Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay .

Association Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javadekar, Maharashtra Governor Vidyasagar Rao and state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were additionally present on the event .

PM Modi later inaugurated the new working of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering and Centre for Environmental Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay .
