Mamata Banerjee: BJP depending on politics of killing

Kolkata, Aug 28 Mounting a scathing attack on the BJP, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today blamed the saffron party for resorting on "politics of killing" in the state and using central agencies against opposition parties.

Referring to the recent panchayat polls in the express, the chief minister alleged that BJP members were working in conspiracy with goons who had before served the CPI(M).

"The BJP won only a couple of seats in past Maoist hotbed of Jangalmahal by falling back on governmental issues of slaughtering. The previous CPI(M) goons are presently working for them," she said at a rally here on the event of Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (understudies' wing) foundation day.

Talking about National Register of Citizens (NRC) correction, the Banerjee said her legislature won't permit the activity under any conditions.

"We won't permit NRC practice in Bengal. They (BJP leaders) are challenging us. On the off chance that we are tested, we will give them a fitting answer," she said.

The chief minister also said that she would not "endure" if a national is wrongfully labeled a foreigner here.

"We are Bengal tigers, we won't tolerate if an Indian resident is named a nonnative," she declared.

The TMC supremo said she will battle tooth and nail to defeat the saffron party in 2019.

"Besides money and muscle power, the BJP is using central agencies against the resistance party leaders. Our aphorism will be to expel the party from control in 2019 Lok Sabha election," Banerjee included.
