Patna, Aug 17 Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Lalu Prasad and his son Tejashwi Yadav on Friday condoled the end of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Lalu described the death of Vajpayee as a "finish of a time in Indian politics". The RJD chief, on Twitter, stated, "I lost a friend and guardian with the passing away of Vajpayee Ji. He was the last mainstay of that governmental issues which drove individuals of various belief system to have an agreeable and wonderful discourse."
Lalu was active in Bihar politics when Vajpayee was the PM. Yet, the two leaders, notwithstanding unique political views, shared a good rapport. "You will be missed," said Lalu in his tribute.
His child, Tejashwi said that Vajpayee's passing has "left a huge void in Indian politics which future ages will continue attempting to fill, for the ages to come."
The party representative Manoj Jha also communicated misery and tweeted, "Farewell Atalji!There can't be a superior tribute to you than what you had paid to Jawaharlalji. Tear Sir! We were against your political philosophy yet we learnt from you that distinctions could be thoughtful and excellent also. Jai Hind."
Soon after the demise of Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964, Vajpayee gave a glowing tribute to India's first PM, saying that Bharat Mata is loaded up with sorrow today as she has lost her favourite prince and the poor their refuge.
