Swamy on National Herald case: About time Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi are proved guilty

New Delhi, Aug 25 Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Subramanian Swamy, on Saturday, recorded his statement before a Delhi court regarding the National Herald case.

Swamy who filed the case against Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mom Sonia Gandhi in 2012 while tending to the media, here said that it is in regards to time that the charged Congress leaders are brought to book.

"The arrangement is significantly more unmistakable in light of the fact that the workplace bearers of the Congress party are same as the Board of Directors of Associated Journals Limited (AJL) and as same the executives of Young Indians (YI) as well," he said.

"The vast property of the AJL was allowed to swallowed by YI without paying anything. It is a wrongdoing and I have built up it by all appearances. It's opportunity that they (Rahul, Sonia) are proved guilty," he added.

The Delhi High Court on August 8 declined to grant relief to Rahul Gandhi in regard with the case.

Rahul had challenged Income Tax authority's request to revive his tax assessment related to the National Herald and Young India transactions.

The Income Tax office educated the High Court that the AICC gave Rs 99 crores to Associate Journal Ltd and included that Rahul unshakably picked not to unveil that he held the executive's post at the Young India.
