Amit Shah assaults 'Rahul Gandhi', says would've 'told you in Italian about work done by BJP'

Aug 4, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Saturday attacked Congress president Rahul Gandhi over the latter’s mom and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi's Italian origin. Addressing a public meet in Rajasthan's Rajsamand, the BJP chief said that he doesn't know Italian, else he would have addressed Rahul Gandhi in that dialect.

Asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-drove NDA government had propelled in excess of 100 plans for the general population of Rajasthan, Shah focused on the Congress over getting some information about what the BJP had done.

"Rahul baba if you know ccounting then count, I don't know Italian else I would have let you know in Italian the amount we have given to open. Modi government has brought 116 plans for Rajasthan populace and still Congress asks what BJP has done," said the BJP national president.

The BJP president made the comment as he hailed off Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's 'Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra' from Charbhujanath sanctuary in Rajsamand. The 58-day yatra has been propelled by the Rajasthan BJP to make individuals mindful of the work done by the state and the central government in front of Assembly elections, planned in the not so distant future.

Raje and Shah offered prayers at the temple before the chief minister boarded the specially designed bus with the party president.

After the flagging off of the yatra, they cleared out for a helipad close-by to make a beeline for Kankroli city in the area to address the primary gathering of the visit. The 'rath' will achieve Kankroli by street and will be used by Raje for her onward trip.

During the yatra, Raje will burn through 40 days visiting and tending to open gatherings and the rest of the 18 will be off.

The 'Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra' will cover 165 of the aggregate 200 assembly constituencies in the state before its culmination on September 30 in Ajmer.
