New Delhi, Aug 2 Congress President Rahul Gandhi today assaulted External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj over the Doklam issue, charging that she had "locked and prostrated herself before Chinese power".
His affirmation came a day after Swaraj told Parliament that the India-China go head to head over Doklam was resolved through "diplomatic maturity without losing any ground" and the norm has been kept up.
"Amazing how a lady like Sushma ji has buckled and prostrated herself before Chinese power. Absolute subservience to the leader implies our overcome jawan has been deceived on the border...," Gandhi tweeted.
He also tagged a media provide details regarding a US Congresswoman guaranteeing China has "quietly resumed" its exercises in the Doklam territory and attesting that neither Bhutan nor India tried to prevent it. The claim, however, was denied by New Delhi.
Swaraj had told the Lok Sabha that the primary goal of the casual summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Wuhan was to guarantee common solace, shared understanding and common trust between the two pioneers and all the three targets had been accomplished.
Congresswoman Ann Wagner had made the claim during a Congressional hearing of the US House Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee for Asia and the Pacific a week ago.
