MSP Hike will enhance life nature of farmers: Yogi

Mirzapur (UP), July 4 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday respected the Central government's choice to climb the base help value (MSP) for paddy by Rs 200 for each quintal.

"This will bring happiness to the farmers. This is a major decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's legislature. This will enhance the personal satisfaction of farmers," Adityanath told.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs additionally affirmed the expansion in MSP of 14 Kharif crops.

The MSP of paddy (basic review) has been increased by Rs 200 to Rs 1,750 for each quintal, while that of Grade An assortment by Rs 160 for every quintal to Rs 1,750.

The MSP of medium staple cotton has been expanded to Rs 5,150 from Rs 4,020 prior, and that of long staple cotton to Rs 5,450 from Rs 4,320 for every quintal.

In pulses, MSP of Tur has been raised to Rs 5,675 for every quintal from Rs 5,450, while that of Moong to Rs 6,975 for each quintal from Rs 5,575.

Urad MSP has been climbed to Rs 5,600 from Rs 5,400 for every quintal.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had assured farmers that the Center will approve the higher least help cost for Kharif crops. Paddy is the primary Kharif trim, the sowing of which has just started with the beginning of southwest monsoon.
