Delhi flood & irrigation dept may do works in

New Delhi, Aug 9 Delhi Urban Development Minister Satyendar Jain today said the AAP government has planned to complete improvement works in unapproved colonies through the Flood and Irrigation Department.

Answering to an inquiry in the House, Jain said at present, just, the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) does community extends in unapproved provinces over the city.

"The government has made a plan to allow the Flood and Irrigation department to take care of advancement works in around 1,700 unapproved states alongside the DSIIDC," Jain told the House amid the Question Hour.

The answer comes after some MLAs griped that there has been a postponement in executing advancement works in unapproved provinces in their bodies electorate.

The minister likewise said formative works have been influenced because of the deferral in regularization of unauthorised colonies by the Center.

Jain likewise asked BJP MLA Jagdish Pradhan, who said that around 99 per cent of colonies are unapproved in his voting demographic, to take up the issue of regularization of all colonies in Delhi with the central government.
