Two Naxals captured in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Aug 8 Two Naxals were captured and the same number of weapons recouped from them in Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur area today, police said.

The capture was made by a joint group of security forces from the forests near Tadonar village under Jharaghati police station limits, Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh told.

The composite squad of Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) and district force had the last night launched a search operation in Jhara territory, around 350 kms far from here, in light of particular contributions about a social occasion of Naxals in woodlands amongst Kodoli and Gumiybeda towns, he said.

On detecting the nearness of security forces near Tadonar, ultras tried to escape from the spot. Then, two of them - Pande Korram and Ramder Gota (both 21) - were captured after a short chase, the SP said.

Two gag stacking weapons, Maoist standard and leaflet were additionally recuperated from their ownership, he included.

While Korram was dynamic as a member of Chetna Natya Manch (CNM)- a social wing of Maoists, Gota was a Janatana Sarkar amass part in Dhurbeda range, he said.

The pair were related with the banned outfit since past 6-7 years and tasked with arranging meetings, ration and information for their colleagues, the SP included.
