2015 Bombay High crash:'Disoriented' pilot couldn't see

New Delhi, Aug 2 A Pawan Hans pilot had lost his ability to read a compass before his chopper slammed close to an oil fix at Bombay High two years back, as indicated by a test report made open today.

A Dauphin AS365 helicopter worked by Pawan Hans was on standby obligation as a night ambulance at Bombay High on November 4, 2015, when the crash occurred. There were two pilots onboard and both were slaughtered in the mishap, which totally destroyed the chopper.

The report includes that the pilot on controls was completing night flying after a break of almost a year.

While he was forewarned by his teacher going with him installed twice about the chopper losing tallness quickly, the pilot was "not able" to react to the notices.

The black hole wonder represents 5-10 per cent of air accidents of non-business flights and is known to cause fatalities in 90 per cent of the cases, the report says.
