On the legal challenge to Article 35A of the Constitution, which bars people from outside Jammu and Kashmir to gain immoveable property in the state, Singh said the Center has neither started any activity nor gone to the court in such manner.
"There is no purpose behind uncertainty or speculation on this issue. Unnecessarily an issue is being made out.Central government has not started any process on this issue, we have not gone to the court. I need to guarantee that - I am not discussing just Article 35A, whatever our administration does, we won't do anything against the conclusions of the people here. We will keep on respecting that.
"I think there are no issues left.It is exceptionally lamentable," he included.
Singh said he has inspected the Rs 80,000 crore Prime Minister's Development Package (PMDP) for Jammu and Kashmir and work is going on the projects under this program.
"Some of the projects are big and there has been some cost heightening as well.The add up to worth of the bundle has now gone over Rs one lakh crore because of cost acceleration.
"In any case, I have told the authorities that the cost acceleration ought not come in the way. Detailed project reports ought to be arranged and work began on these undertakings," he included.
