नई दिल्ली, 11 सितम्बर प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और उनके जापानी समकक्ष शिन्जो आबे दोनों देशों के बीच विशेष रणनीतिक और वैश्विक साझेदारी की भविष्य की दिशा तय करेंगे, जब वे इस हफ्ते मिलेंगे, विदेश मंत्रालय ने आज कहा।

अबे बुधवार को दो दिवसीय यात्रा शुरू करेंगे, जिसके दौरान वह और मोदी गुजरात के गांधीनगर में 12वें भारत-जापान वार्षिक सम्मेलन का आयोजन करेंगे।

दक्षिण कोरिया के परमाणु परीक्षण के बाद और दक्षिण चीन सागर में चीन की बढ़ती मांग के बाद इस क्षेत्र में बढ़ती तनाव के बीच शिखर सम्मेलन होता है।

यह मोदी और अबे के बीच चौथे वार्षिक शिखर सम्मेलन होगा।

विदेश मंत्रालय ने एक बयान में कहा, "दोनों नेताओं ने 'विशेष रणनीतिक और वैश्विक भागीदारी' के ढांचे के तहत भारत और जापान के बीच बहुआयामी सहयोग की हालिया प्रगति की समीक्षा की है और यह भविष्य की दिशा तय करेगा।"

भारत-जापान संबंध रक्षा और सुरक्षा समेत कई क्षेत्रों में बढ़ रहे हैं

पिछले हफ्ते अपने वार्षिक रक्षा वार्ता में, दोनों देशों ने रक्षा उत्पादन में करीब-करीब सहयोग करने का संकल्प लिया था, जिसमें दोहरे उपयोग प्रौद्योगिकियां शामिल हैं।

प्रधान मंत्री मोदी पिछले साल नवंबर में जापान गए थे। दोनों पक्षों ने यात्रा के दौरान द्विपक्षीय रक्षा और सुरक्षा सहयोग को बढ़ाने का फैसला किया था।



New Delhi, Sep 11 Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe will set the future direction of the special strategic and global partnership between the two nations when they meet this week, the Ministry of External Affairs said today.

Abe starts a two-day visit on Wednesday, amid which he and Modi will hold the 12th India-Japan yearly summit in Gandhinagar in Gujarat.

The summit takes place amid rising tension in the region following the nuclear test by North Korea and developing Chinese assertiveness in the South China Sea.

This will be the fourth yearly summit between Modi and Abe.

"The two pioneers will audit the current advance in the multifaceted participation amongst India and Japan under the structure of their 'Unique Strategic and Global Partnership' and will set its future course," MEA said in an announcement.

India-Japan ties are on a rise in a scope of regions, including defence and security.

In their yearly resistance exchange a week ago, the two nations had set out to team up intently in protection creation, including on dual-use technologies.

Prime Minister Modi had visited Japan in November a year ago. Both sides had chosen to increase two-sided protection and security participation amid the visit.
