Rahul Gandhi: People will dismiss PM Modi, BJP

Basavanagudi (Karnataka), May 9 Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said People of Karnataka will dismiss Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatriya Janata Party.

The Congress President also attacked the Prime Minister for being quiet on the issue of asserted Dalit atrocities.

Addressing a public gathering here, the Congress president stated, "While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay his tribute to BR Ambedkar, he remains calm when individuals from SC and ST people group are assaulted. Individuals will toss out Narendra Modi and the BJP from Karnataka to begin with, trailed by Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh."

Continuing his tirade against Prime Minister Modi, Gandhi said that the Congress would not let the BJP change the constitution.

"A minister in Narendra Modi's Cabinet says we will change the Constitution. Whatever happens, we won't let that happen," he said.

Last December, Union pastor Anant Kumar Hegde hit the contention after he said that the BJP was here to change the Constitution.

"A few people say the Constitution says common and you should acknowledge it. We are here to change the Constitution and we'll change it," Hegde had said earlier.

"You should've seen Congress. We contradict PM, we talk against him however we regard PM's post. He considers on the off chance that he talks against Congress, against Siddaramaiah, his gathering will be profited. Be that as it may, this demonstrates PM's post in a terrible light, he'll never comprehend this," he said.

Earlier in the day, Gandhi offered petitions at Dargah of Hazrat Tawakkal Mastan Shah in Bengaluru.
