कोलंबो, 1 सितंबर विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज ने आज श्रीलंका के राष्ट्रपति मैत्रीपला सिरीसेना से मुलाकात की और पारस्परिक सहयोग के द्विपक्षीय मुद्दों पर विचार-विमर्श किया।

स्वराज, जो यहां 2 भारतीय महासागर सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए आए हैं, दो दिवसीय बैठक के दौरान सिरीसेना से मिले।

"नेतृत्व के साथ बैठक। विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज राष्ट्रपति सिरीसेना से मुलाकात की और परस्पर सहयोग के द्विपक्षीय मुद्दों पर विचार-विमर्श किया," विदेश मंत्री रवीश कुमार के प्रवक्ता ने ट्वीट किया।

इससे पहले आज, स्वराज ने श्रीलंका के समकक्ष तिलक मारापना से मुलाकात की और द्विपक्षीय सहयोग के महत्वपूर्ण पहलुओं पर चर्चा की।

स्वराज ने कल श्रीलंका के प्रधान मंत्री रानिल विक्रम्सिंगे और उनके सिंगापुर के समकक्ष विवियन बालकृष्णन से मुलाकात की।

भारतीय महासागर सम्मेलन संयुक्त रूप से इंडिया फाउंडेशन, एस राजारत्नम स्कूल ऑफ़ इंटरनेशनल स्टडीज (आरएसआईएस), सिंगापुर और कोलंबो में नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ फंडामेंटल स्टडीज (एनआईएफएस) द्वारा आयोजित किया गया है।



Colombo, Sep 1 External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today approached Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena and talked about reciprocal issues of common joint effort.

Swaraj, who is here to go to the second Indian Ocean Conference, met Sirisena on the sidelines of the two-day meeting.

"Meeting with the leadership. Outside Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj approaches President Sirisena and examined reciprocal issues of common coordinated effort," Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Raveesh Kumar tweeted.

Prior today, Swaraj met her Sri Lankan partner Tilak Marapana and talked about key parts of two-sided participation.

Swaraj yesterday met Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and her Singaporean partner Vivian Balakrishnan.

The Indian Ocean Conference has been together composed by the India Foundation, the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Singapore, and the National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS) in Colombo.
