Washington, Jun 21 China's efforts to get control over North Korea have "not worked" out, US President Donald Trump has said yet refreshing Beijing for its attempts to seek after its nearest partner to surrender its atomic desire.
"While I greatly appreciate the efforts of President Xi and China to help with North Korea, it has not worked out. At any rate I know China attempted!," Trump said in a tweet which came hours before the US and China were set to meet in Washington to discuss North Korea.
The meeting comes in the midst of worry that North Korea is setting up a 6th nuclear test.
There was speculation earlier this year that North Korea was set to provoke Trump with its 6th atomic test since 2006. Be that as it may, the hermitic state has rather done a progression of rocket dispatches.
In a report, The New York Times said that Trump's tweet is "an unprecedented affirmation of disappointment in his system" for managing the maverick administration of Kim Jong-un.
White House press secretary Sean Spice said the US has been exceptionally powerful in its political and monetary weight that has been connected on North Korea.
"I think we'll keep on applying that. Clearly, China has played and can keep on playing a more noteworthy part in settling this circumstance, and we will keep on hopefully expand on the relationship and the exchange that we've had with China," Spicer said.
"I think there have been some positive strides that they've taken, both at the UN and monetarily, to help fortify the body of evidence against North Korea. In any case, I'm not venturing out in front of where we might possibly go. What's more, clearly, we trust that those talks with China are profitable and keep on moving us forward," he said.
Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Trump at his private Florida bequest in April, a meeting that both pioneers said warmed relations between the nations.
