Salman khan: Shah Rukh said yes to "Tubelight" in one phone call

Mumbai, Jun 20 Superstar Salman Khan says it took just a phone call to persuade Shah Rukh Khan to do an exceptional appearance in his film "Tubelight".

The Kabir Khan-coordinated film, which hits the theaters on June 23, is set against the setting of the 1962 India-China war. While Sohail Khan is in the part of a fighter, Salman plays his simpleton sibling.

The actor said the Shah Rukh didn't tune in to the whole discussion before saying yes.

"At the point when Kabir portrayed the subject to me, he said for this part we ought to get Shah Rukh. Thus, I rang Shah Rukh and let him know, 'In Tubelight, there's this little', and he cut me, saying, 'It's finished'. He didn't give me a chance to finish the sentence. He just said 'it's done'," Salman told columnists here.

The actor was talking at a special occasion the last night where they presented kid performer Matin Rey Tangu to the media.

The five-year-old actor, who hails from Itanagar, plays an integral part in "Tubelight".

Salman said with "Tubelight", Tangu will progress toward becoming as well known as Harshali Malhotra, his co-star in "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

The film is an official adaptation of the 2015 American war drama "Little Boy".
