Rains cool Delhi, mercury plunges to 21.8 deg C

New Delhi, Jun 16 Overnight rains in parts of the national capital conveyed some alleviation to people from the burning warmth as the mercury dropped significantly today to settle at a lovely 21.8 degrees Celsius.

The most extreme temperature excessively enlisted a fall and is probably going to drift around 34 degrees Celsius later in the day.

"The areas under Safdarjung, Lodhi Road, Palam, Aayangar and Ridge observatories recorded a precipitation of 18 mm, 21.2 mm, 25.9 mm, 33 mm, and 10.8 mm individually," a MeT Department official said.

The Safdarjung observatory, whose recording is viewed as official for the city, enrolled a low of 21.8 degrees Celsius at the beginning of today, six indents beneath the normal.

Recently, the greatest and least temperature had settled at 39.6 and 28.6 degrees separately.

Nonetheless, the relative dampness level shot up in the morning, recording around 98 for each penny, the MeT official said.

The weatherman has estimate a by and large overcast sky later in the day, with electrical storm and rain.

"The maximum and minimum temperature tomorrow are likely to hover around 34 and 25 degrees Celsius, individually," he said.
