Srinagar, Jun 24 Three more people professedly included in the mob lynching of Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ayub Pandith in Srinagar have been captured, Jammu and Kashmir's top cop said here today.
"We have distinguished 12 people regarding the case and five of them have been captured," Director General of Police S P Vaid told.
Recently, the DGP had said two people were captured, while another was distinguished.
He said the police have settled not to save the general population behind the act.
"It is the resolve of Jammu and Kashmir Police that we are not going to save these scoundrels," he said.
The DGP said the investigation for the situation is on and everything would be clear once the report comes.
"Give the investigation complete, at that point no one but we can state what has happened," he said.
Asked whether direct Hurriyat Conference executive Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was available in Jamia Masjid when the episode occurred, Vaid stated, "It involves examination.
