Venkaiah Naidu censures lynching of Muslim adolescent on-board train

New Delhi, Jun 28 Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today censured the lynching of a Muslim teen on board a Mathura-bound train, and sought action against the culprits.

Junaid (17) was wounded to death while his siblings - Hashim and Sakir - were harmed by a crowd which additionally professedly flung slurs against them on-board the Delhi-Mathura passenger train between Ballabgarh and Mathura stations last week.

"Any occurrence of such nature is condemnable. It is fierce, frightful. It won't be worthy by any stretch of the imagination. Individuals who are in charge of the same ought to be distinguished and managed solidly," Naidu told reporters here.

Focusing on that what occurred on account of Junaid was "thoroughly wrong", the data and broadcasting pastor said no one can "take law into their hands whatever might be the reason".

Recently, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had guaranteed to take action against the culprits. In a meeting with a day by day, Khattar had stated, "The legislature won't enable anybody to take the law in his grasp."

Faridabad Deputy Superintendent of Police (Government Railway Police) Mohinder Singh had said the police were scanning CCTV footage from different points in the region of where Junaid was wounded on-board the Mathura-bound prepare to discover pieces of information of the rest of the denounced for the situation.

"We are attempting to obtain the CCTV footage from different points which may help us in seizing the rest of the blamed," he had said.

Singh said investigations were under progress and expressed hope to nab the other accused in the case.

"One accused has already been arrested," he had said.
