Four captured for destroy Rajiv Gandhi's statue

Mirzapur, Jun 7 Four people have been captured for purportedly vandalising a statue of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi at a park in Awas Vikas colony here, the police said today.

Burrow (Vindhyachal Range) Ratan Kumar Srivastav said neighborhood inhabitants Ajay Kumar Divewdi, Sandip Kumar Tiwari, Shivam Sharma and Rahul Gautam were captured yesterday from the railroad station while they were attempting to leave Mirzapur.

They were all residents of Awas Vikas colony.

On the purposes behind crushing the statue, the DIG said "it was only a devilishness" and did not detailed further.

He said one more blamed would be arrested soon.

The statue of the former prime minister was introduced at in the park under Katra Kotwali Police Station range approximately ten years prior and was discovered broken on Sunday morning.

Engraged neighborhood Congress pioneers had requested prompt capture of the guilty parties.
