Hyderabad, Jun 26 An upper Left pioneer today said that Meira Kumar would give an "intense battle" in the Presidential races, and the Opposition gatherings would attempt to connect with NDA partners to back their joint applicant.
"It's not a symbolic fight, it will be a decent, intense battle," General Secretary of Communist Party of India (CPI), Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy told.
Of the 10,98,903 votes of the electoral college, "We have already talked to 3.5 lakh to four lakh votes. Political gatherings' command (they can't issue whip) won't be accessible. How about we see, what will happen," he said.
"A portion of the NDA partners may likewise vote in favor of us. It will be an extreme battle," Reddy stated, including, the opposition gatherings would "surely" attempt to connect with NDA partners to bolster Meira Kumar.
He named as "shocking" Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's choice to back the NDA presidential chosen one Ram Nath Kovind.

The presidential decision is booked for July 17 and the tallying of votes will happen on July 20.
Kovind recorded his selection within the sight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on June 23.
If elected, Kovind will be the second Dalit president after K R Narayanan.
