RSS chief meets President Pranab Mukherjee

New Delhi, Jun 16 President Pranab Mukherjee welcomed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat for lunch today at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the saffron furnish said.

Bhagwat, who was in Rudrapur yesterday for the Sangh's volunteer instruction and preparing program, achieved the national capital today for the meeting, RSS sources said.

The planning of the meeting, which comes only in front of the presidential race, has activated hypothesis in some political quarters.

The RSS said it was a pre-chosen graciousness meet and there was nothing to peruse into it.

Prior as well, Bhagwat had approached Pranab Mukherjee to broaden Diwali welcome.

Both Bhagwat, whose name was proposed by Shiv Sena for the following president, and the occupant Mukherjee have discounted themselves from the race for the top protected post.
